Why I switched from Woo-commerce with WordPress to Shopify

I was using Woo-Commerce for about 3 years since 2012. I would say it could do a lot more than Shopify at a lower cost at the time I was using it. I had to spend a lot of time working with the apps and the themes and learned how to do some coding. Then I started to get steady traffic and where I noticed that I was getting a lot of spam. And at that time I setup bootcamp to backup and reload my website whenever we are attacked. And in one year I had over 5 times downtime. I couldn’t sleep!

So I know I had to try to find another platform that would be more steady and less headaches. I tried big commerce and wix, but nothing was comparable to Shopify. I was worried it would affect my sales, but within a week of my transition we started to get sales. I have been using it for about 2.5 years now and I have to say its the best change ever! Sales doubled every year and I spent less time learning to code and more time spent on my business and marketing.

Shopify’s support team is very helpful and the platform will be updated from time to time keeping up with the trend and easy to use. I find the tools very useful and there are so many new apps that comes up that will help your business grow. Just have to test and run to see whats good. In my next post I’ll talk about some of the apps that has helped our business a lot.
